On Friday, 5th Sept. 2008, I had the opportunity to check out the underground party scene of BASSCULTURE at Overtoom 301. What a great way to kick-off the weekend by attending a party off the beaten club circuit! What makes BASSCULTURE so unique is the mix of cultural performances with the sound of international DJs playing experimental beats ranging from Jungle, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Funk & Soul. This homegrown Amsterdam organization has garnered its own cult following and sub-culture since it's early days in the underground scene, spawning their own radio program with their resident DJs DJ Jah Depender and Parttime Warrior.
