Bitterzoet is somewhat of an institution in the Amsterdam club scene. A relative new comer at 3 years old, Bitterzoet has cemented its reputation as a trend leader. You won’t find a ‘door bitch’ here – the club’s policy is that everyone’s cool and everyone’s welcome and this policy seems to work as it attracts a great crowd of intelligent clubbers.
Situated near Central Station on the Spuistraat, Bitterzoet is a leveled club with 2 floors and a basement for wardrobe and toilet. Upstairs you can find a free game of pool, also on most club evenings and the general atmosphere is relaxed. Bitterzoet also hosts theater and art events occasionally.

Every night is different and so draws a different crowd. This is the club to go to with laid back people, low entrance fees, mellow atmosphere and a slight tendency towards hip-hop.
