The owner of Boadas once lived in Havana where he managed the famously historical "Floridita" and "Bodeguita del Medio" back in the 30's. He later set up this traditional cocktail house on the Ramblas in Barcelona. Velvet is a surrealistic experience. Not because it has Gaudiesque architecture, although if you want to walk his greatest works are not that far.
