The owner of Boadas once lived in Havana where he managed the famously historical "Floridita" and "Bodeguita del Medio" back in the 30's. He later set up this traditional cocktail house on the Ramblas in Barcelona. The history of the bar is seen in the collection of artwork, illustrations, photography, and paintings on the walls of this small but powerful establishment. The bartenders, always dressed formally will flirt with you any chance they get or at least tell you a joke while preparing your cocktail, which is a science that takes time.
