La Macarena began as a Flamenco club but has since been converted into an underground mini dance club featuring minimal house and electronica Dj’s. The space is tiny and the dance floor is usually packed. It’s not easy to catch a breath of fresh air in this space and is not recommended for those with claustrophobic tendencies. The most popular time of night for this club is around 3:30am, when other bars in the city start to close for the evening. If you want to enter around this time, no doubt you will have to wait in line until the club empties out a little.
