From the outside Le Chat Noir looks like a rather boring and dark bar, but once you go inside you realise what a lively place it really is. They invite groups and musicians to play jazz, world music, American folk, Bolero or traditional North African rhythms several times a week in the basement. The most memorable thing about the Lou Pascalou used to be the toilets. Several years ago you had to queue in the courtyard to relieve yourself in a small cabin at the back. It was here, while jiggling about by the dustbins, that you could meet the prettiest girls in the place. Today the toilets are more stylish and shiny and the atmosphere is much calmer than before.
