Coolin is one of the better-known Irish Pubs in Paris located in an ideal spot on the Saint Germain market place. The waiters at the cafés on Place de La Bastille can be so rude that it’s often just easier to meet friends on the steps of the Opera house. Thanks to this Irish pub, you don’t have freeze while you wait. This pub is just by the busy boulevard de Montparnasse and is always busy, always loud (mostly good quality rock music) and filled with a boisterous crowd downing pints of Irish beer. The landlord, a jolly fellow, says that he doesn’t throw people out if they get too drunk; he just serves them another drink.
