Up on the top floor of an old independent cinema, L’Etage is a great space for eat, drink and dance in the area. They hold quality world music concerts from Thursday to Saturday, with groups playing sounds from the Far East, Latin America, the Balkans, West and North Africa. When French touch had its heyday Queen was the place to be. These days it attracts provincials out on the town and tourists looking for a night out on the Champs Elysées. The mega club with its fantastic sound system and expensive lights plays commercial house and disco with the odd big name DJ passing through. Legend has it that Jim Morrison died here of an overdose when this basement club was called the Whisky à Gogo. The myth has been told too many times and the nights at Wagg are pretty far from the orgies and hedonism of the 70’s. The new team behind the venue have done their best and collaborated with Fabric in London to create a chic but hip left bank club with a great sound system.
