This friendly bar translated as ‘The friends meeting place’ is it seems, exactly that. It’s a bar run by a young team of enthusiasts and after a few visits everyone will know your name. However, as it’s perched right at the top of Montmartre the walk up is not for the unfit, but once you get there never a cold beer tasted so good. Regulars drink Pastis, (the French version of Ouzo especially popular in the South of France) accompanied by a plate of cheese and cold meats, then as the effects of the drink kicks in (it’s always stronger than you think) they get up and dance to whatever local group is invited to play on Thursday nights or the French pop and Indie the rest of the week.
