Hidden amongst the trendy bars on the rue de Lappe ‘Chez Pierrot’, is a friendly bar perfect for rum lovers. A huge wooden bar and only five or so tables takes up the almost all the space on the ground floor. On the right the stairs lead to another floor, furnished with tables and benches to sit on. The décor changes regularly as different artists can display their work on the walls here. Behind the counter Pierre the landlord prepares ti-punch (a typically Caribbean concoction of rum, sugar cane syrup and lime) with a selectiojn of over ten types of rum. By his side, his brother prepares the rum cocktail for the evening. Regulars and tourists sip their cocktails while the two Caribbean brothers tell jokes. Here you can find quality rums without stretching your wallet, with a glass of rum or a ti-punch at 3€.
