The pin up isn’t really appropriate as the name for this bar. It isn’t here that you will find photos of semi naked women, but rather a 100% electronic vibe. The bar has been chosen by Paris’ electronic music circle as their home from home. Datraxx organises drinks here, Tsugi magazine hosts before sessions and Karat organises nights. The basement downstairs is the reason why, a secret jewel in the area or in Paris even with its Berlin underground feel; A narrow staircase leads into the multi-space basement with a bar and a minimalist and simple dance-floor. No need for any unnecessary decoration, a white room, projections on the walls and a club quality sound system. Upstairs the Pin-Up becomes a 60’s futuristic bar, the crowd is different but the music remains electronic. Be warned though; don’t bother with the cocktails that really aren’t their forte.
